For the past few years, the ant has been running simple primary and middle schools in forest fringe areas where populations who have relocated from elsewhere - many due to ethnic violence - have been staying for the past two decades and more. As there are no Government schools, children of these marginalized communities are taught for a few hours, often in mud-straw hutments made by the community. Community volunteers who have been trained to teach such young children use interactive sessions and sports to engage and stimulate young minds in more than 30 such schools and approximately 1,000 children are currently enrolled.
